Meet our team
Laura Apps – Founder & Pelvic Health Physiotherapist
Welcome! I’m the founder of Women’s Health Physiotherapy Centre and Glow Movement Studio, and a passionate pelvic health physiotherapist. Over the past 10 years, I’ve grown WHPC into a trusted space in Durham Region—a nest of comfort, education, clinical expertise, and compassionate care for women at every stage of life.
Glow Movement Studio has always been part of my vision for expanding care past rehabilitation to joy and movement. I’m so excited to see it finally come to life. It’s a space where we use all forms of movement to nourish our bodies and uplift our spirits.

Swaati is a yoga teacher and teacher trainer whose work is rooted in a deep respect for traditional yogic philosophy. Raised in a family that was immersed early on in yoga philosophy and spirituality, it continues to inform her approach to teaching. Her personal journey into yoga deepened after the birth of her two children, when she began to explore movement as a way to support her postnatal body and mental health. This experience led her to recognize the importance of adapting yoga to meet individual needs, especially in the often-overlooked area of pelvic health.
Now specializing in pelvic health–focused yoga, Swaati is passionate about helping students reconnect with their bodies, build confidence in their movement, and find relief from pain through intentional, informed practice.
She has extensive experience teaching yoga for pelvic health, prenatal and postnatal populations, and facilitates a mom and baby peer support group, creating spaces that foster both physical and mental healing and community connection. As both a teacher and teacher trainer, she is committed to ongoing education and to bridging yoga and women’s health. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Culture, Women’s Studies, and Languages from York University.

Welcome :) I am so happy you are here.
It has been 9 years since I completed my 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher training, and 13 years since I began my journey working as a Women’s Health Physiotherapist. I am now a mother of two active boys who have kept me very busy these past many years. And so I am beyond grateful for this new opportunity to bring the Nature flow and the Give Back flow to Glow Movement Studio. When I am on my mat and in nature, I feel most connected to gratitude, self-compassion and inner peace. It is my hope that I can share this with others and help bring a sense of community to those who find themselves here.
